WHAT TYPES OF DATA DO WE PROCESS AND WHY?
1. Browsing data
The information systems and software procedures relied upon to operate this website acquire personal data as part of their standard functionalities; the transmission of such data is an inherent feature of Internet communication protocols.
This data category includes the IP addresses and/or the domain names of the computers and terminal equipment used by any user, the URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) addresses of the requested resources, the time of such requests, the method used for submitting a given request to the server, returned file size, a numerical code relating to server response status (successfully performed, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment.
These data are necessary to use web-based services and are also processed in order to check the functioning of the services.
Data will be deleted after fulfilling these purposes.
2. Data communicated by the user
a) when you contact us: if you send us an e-mail message to the addresses listed on the website or if contact us through the “Contact Acorai” button, we will process your data (name, address, e-mail, content of the message) only to respond to your requests (the legal basis, i.e. the basis required by law for processing your data, is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the person concerned – Art. 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR”).
b) when you subscribe to our newsletter: if you give us your consent, we may process your name, surname and e-mail address, to send you communications about our products, services or events offered by us or our business partners. The legal basis is consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
c) when we have to fulfil legal obligations or defend a right: if necessary, your data may be processed to fulfil a legal obligation or an order from the Authority or to defend or enforce a right of the Controller in court (the legal bases are the fulfilment of legal obligations – Art. 6(1)(c) – and the legitimate interest of the Controller – Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on users’ devices by the server of the website they are visiting and contain information about the user’s navigation that can be read by the same server in subsequent browsing sessions. Cookies do not harm the device and enable a better browsing experience.

HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR DATA?
The data you provide us through contact forms or through spontaneous emails will be retained for the time needed to reply to you and, in any case, for a maximum of three months.
Your name and email address collected to send you marketing communications will be retained for 24 months, unless you withdraw your consent.
YOUR RIGHTS
You may request, at any time, access to your personal data, rectification, deletion of the same in the cases provided for by art. 17 of GDPR, restriction of processing in the cases provided for by art. 18 of GDPR, a copy of the data we process about you, in a structured format in common use and readable by automatic devices (right to portability)
You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time.
You may lodge a complaint with the relevant Data Protection Authority if you believe that your rights have been violated.
You may also object to the processing of personal data relating to you in the case of direct marketing and if the cases referred to in Article 21 of GDPR apply, stating the reasons justifying the objection.
